What is the Uphill Challenge?
Uphill Challenge ASBL together with ACC Contern and Velo Club l’Hirondelle Schuttrange are organizing a cycling event to ride for charity.
The goal of the event is to complete a 236 m climb at the Hostert Charly’s Gare as fast and as much as possible within 3 hours and to raise money for charity.
The course is approximately 1 km long. Over this distance, you climb 30 m height meters. The maximum slope is 14,5%.
The participation costs are free and you can participate as an individual or in a relay team of maximum 5 riders. Nevertheless, we encourage all participants to commit themselves to find sponsors to pay out their performance.
All the profits of the uphill challenge 2019 edition will go to the association “medecins du monde”. The previous editions have gathered each time more than 200 participants and have allowed to collect 6,000€ in 2016 for the association "make a wish", 10,000€ in 2017 for the association "alupse" and 8,000€ in 2018 for "schrêtt fir schrëtt".
